Resource Rescue is a retro 32-bit style platformer game featuring Salvius, an open-source humanoid robot built from recycled materials. Created to celebrate Earth Day, this game takes players on a journey through three unique levels where environmental themes and sustainable practices are woven throughout the gameplay.
Salvius awakens in a desert landscape, missing crucial components. Navigate through challenging terrain to collect five essential parts: a battery, motor, wire roll, gear, and circuit board. Each level brings new challenges and reinforces the importance of resourcefulness and environmental stewardship.
Navigate the desert landscape using arrow keys or WASD controls. Jump over obstacles and collect 5 essential robot parts scattered across the terrain. Press Shift while moving to run faster!
Navigate through a junkyard while avoiding rats that will damage your circuits. You have 3 lives (batteries) - jump over obstacles and rats to reach the radio tower at the end of the city.
Switch to vertical platforming as you jump from platform to platform, climbing to the top of the radio tower to broadcast an important message about environmental preservation.
Resource Rescue is just one small part of the larger Salvius Labs ecosystem. We're working on creating open-source robotics projects that focus on recycling, environmental preservation, and sustainable technology.
Have an idea for a new level or feature? We welcome contributions that align with our environmental and educational themes. Check out the game repository for open issues and contribution guidelines.
